Accessibility statement

What has been built in

• Every page can be operated with a keyboard, and focus is always visible.
• A skip link moves straight to the main content, before the header and navigation.
• Form fields have real labels, errors are announced and described in words, and no error is signalled by colour alone.
• Status is always carried by text and a symbol as well as colour, in both this site and the staff application.
• Text and interface colours were chosen against measured contrast ratios rather than by eye, and the contrast of every token pair is checked automatically.
• Motion is restrained, and animation is reduced to almost nothing when your system asks for reduced motion.
• Touch targets on phones are at least 44 pixels on their smallest side.

Known limits

This statement describes intent and the checks currently in place. A full audit with assistive technology has not yet been performed, so it is not claimed here as complete.
