Privacy policy

This policy describes what the request form collects and how that information is handled.

Important: Draft pending owner and counsel approval

The practices below describe how the software actually behaves today. The final policy wording, and the retention period in particular, require the owner’s and counsel’s approval before launch.

What is collected

  • Your name, organisation, email address, and phone number.
  • The case details you enter, including court, case number, and case title.
  • The recipient’s name, service address, and any identifying details, special instructions, or safety warnings you supply.
  • The documents you upload, as PDF files.
  • The name of the person authorising the request, and the time the terms and this policy were acknowledged.

No payment information is collected anywhere on this website. There is no card field, no checkout, and no payment processor.

How it is used

The information is used to review the request, perform the service you authorise, record what was attempted, return the proof and completion documents, and keep the records the work requires.

How documents are stored

  • Uploads are held in private storage that is never exposed as a public link.
  • Each file is checked before staff can open it, and a file that fails the check cannot be downloaded.
  • Staff access to a document is granted through a short-lived link tied to that person’s signed-in session, and every issued link and download is recorded.
  • Email notifications never carry case documents or recipient details.

Who sees it

Only authorised Downey Legal Process Server and Messenger Service staff, and the court, agency, or recipient the service itself requires. Information is not sold, rented, or used for advertising.

How long it is kept

Requests and their documents are retained for the period the owner sets in the final version of this policy, after which they are deleted. Until that period is published here, treat the retention period as unpublished rather than assumed.

Your choices

To ask what is held about a request you submitted, or to ask for it to be deleted where no legal or professional obligation requires it to be kept, contact the office at alprocessserver7@gmail.com and include your reference number.

Analytics

The request form and the staff application carry no analytics or advertising scripts.
